What is Displasia Bronkopulmoner
Displasia Bronkopulmoner is injury to the lungs due to high concentrations of oxygen therapy and use of a ventilator. The disease is more often found in premature babies.
THE CAUSES
Displasia Bronkopulmoner occurs in babies who got the ventilator and a high concentration of oxygen therapy in the long time. Granting of high concentration oxygen therapy is actually aimed at treating the respiratory syndrome when baby is born. This Lung injury can be caused by increased pressure in the lungs due to a mechanical ventilator, or because the oxygen toxicity that results from exposure of oxygen in high concentrations and in the long term.
THE SYMPTOMS
-Breath fast
-Bluish skin color
-Shortness of breath
HANDLING
The Ventilator is usually required to put pressure on the lung to provides additional oxygen. If the baby was able to adjust, then pressure and oxygen concentration will be reduced gradually. The baby could have died.
In a baby who survived, respiratory disorders will disappear slowly. However, in the first years, the baby has a high risk of exposed to pneumonia.
How to prevent
The respiratory AIDS should be released as soon as possible or to to be shortened in use.
