- Sleep Deprivation
Metabolic processes can work well if your body get enough rest. If lack of rest, the body can experience stress resulting chemical reactions in the body increases that will stimulate the appetite. Eating before bed will accumulate fat in the body. Therefore, go to sleep about 6-8 hours a day.
Stress can be a contributory factor to weight. If stressed, some people have a tendency to eat. This is because food, especially those containing high carbohydrate, can increase levels of serotonin in the brain, causing a calming effect. Therefore, if the stress hit, look for other activities to suppress it, for example with exercise.
- Effect of Drugs
Drug effect is different for consumers. Some can cause sedation, increased appetite, converting blood sugar into fat, and so on. Therefore, do not forget to always consult with a physician about the medications and vitamins you consume.
- Health Problems
One cause of fat is hypothyroidism. It is a disorder of the body caused by insufficient production of thyroid hormone in the body. Thyroid deficiency can effects to metabolism, decreased appetite, and increased body weight. Symptoms of this disorder are easily tired, hoarseness, prone to flu, drowsiness (so much sleep), or easy to dizzy. If you experience the above symptoms see a doctor immediately.
After menopause, women are not as energetic as when was young. Metabolic processes and hormone estrogen reduced. It can cause excessive appetite, depression, and even less sleep. It is therefore highly recommended from now on for woman to exercise routine.
