Tips to Prevent Hemorrhoids When Pregnant
This tips will discuss about preventing hemorrhoids for women who are pregnant :
- Eat fiber-containing foods, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grain preferred.
- Drink 6-8 glasses of water per day.
- Avoid sitting down for too long. If your activity need much sitting, please be sure to rest 5 minutes while standing or walking.
- Avoid lifting heavy weights to reduce the pressure on the rectum
- Do a little exercise every morning, at least for an hour. Because physical exercise will help bowel movements in digesting food.
As for women who has suffered from hemorrhoids, the following points can be added :
- Reduce the consumption of meat, so that dirt or feces is not hard
- Avoid spicy foods derived from chili and pepper so there is no pain during or after the toilet.
- Use a washcloth or wet cloth as a compress when the pain arises.
- Use a suppository drugs (drugs that entered the rectum) to reduce swelling and pain
Above tips can also be used for women who are not pregnant.
