Treating headaches should not be arbitrary, because the types and causes are vary. If we wrong choose drugs, it may trigger another type of headache. The most headaches can indeed be cured with a regular headache medicine. But there are some headache that must be cured with antibiotics, or even a supplement to maintain neuronal function.
There are five types of headaches that should be recognized as follows :
- Tension headache
It is the most common headache, it forms of pain or soreness that is felt around the temples or the back of the neck and head. Not as bad as migraine, tension headache is not accompanied by nausea and vomiting and is not distracting activity most - Cluster headache
This type of headache is more common in men than women. Usually occurs suddenly, with symptoms of severe pain on one side of the head. Sometimes it is accompanied by watery eyes, nasal congestion, and runny nose on the same side of the head. A person who experienced it will feel anxious, uncomfortable, such as in patients with migraine. - Sinus headache
Sinus inflammation due to infection can cause pain in the head. it Usually is accompanied by fever. It should be checked with MRI or CT scan to determine changes in fluid composition, or with a fiber optic to see any pus - Rebound hadache
Be carefull when use pain medication, because the excessive use is one of the causes of this headache. Rebound headache is a headache that continues relapse, and sometimes get worse when it is treated - Migraine headache
This type of headache is a neurological disorder. It is defined by the following symptoms:- Previously had experienced headaches no less than 5 times
- Lasted for 4 to 72 hours
- Experienced 2 of 4 the following complaints: headaches; head throbbed; moderate to severe pain; can not perform routine activities
- Accompanied by one of the following symptoms: nausea and vomiting; become sensitive to sound and light
- Some drugs are claimed to overcome the-counter migraine and maintain nerve function. But to make sure no serious problems with the nervous system, you should consult with your doctor to get the right diagnosis
