Although just sit back, working at a computer can cause many negative impacts on health. Well, for those who often spend 8 hours or more at the computer, they must be careful.

The radiation from the monitor can cause eye fatigue quickly. This phenomenon is commonly referred as Computer Vision Syndrome that is not just cause blurred vision, but also headaches. There are some ways to reduce the impact of computer as following :

  • Change the position of the monitor level with your eyes. It also can prevent pain in the back.
  • Reduce the screen contrast can also be an alternative. It can reduce eye fatigue caused by excessive radiation exposure.
  • Regulate the use of computer time.
    American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends a 15-minute break for every two hours of computer use. During a break, do a little stretching to avoid pain in the back.

    Looking at a computer screen continuously can cause the eyes to dry quickly due to the reduced intensity of tears. The use of eye drops can also help. Use eye drops that have been recommended by a physician.
